Girls protesters have been a part of the constitutional motion since its inception. They facilitated strikes, gave ethical and monetary help to the constitutionalists, and bodily defended them in opposition to the forces of the shah. In 1905, girls are stated to have created human obstacles and guarded the ‘ulama who had taken refuge on the Shah ‘Abd al-‘Azim shrine in opposition to authorities armed forces. In the summertime of 1906, when the nationalists obtained refuge within the backyard of the British legation, a number of thousand girls gathered to affix the strikers.
